Dr. Bennet Xylem P Surg Lt (Rtd)

Senior Pediatric Specialist with over 35 years of experience in child healthcare, offering expertise in clinical pediatrics, medical education, research, and public health. He previously served as Consultant and Head of the Department of Pediatrics at the Women and Children Hospital, Thycaud, and has held key roles in the Indian Navy Medical Services and Kerala Health Services, where he was known for clinical excellence and compassionate care. He holds multiple qualifications including MBBS, DCH, PGDHRM, PGDAP, PGPN (Boston University), and FIAP (Lifetime Achievement Award) and has actively represented Kerala in national and international pediatric forums. His areas of expertise include general pediatrics, adolescent health, pediatric nutrition, and child development. With fluency in English, Malayalam, and Hindi, Dr. Bennet is also deeply involved in pediatric education and public engagement. Dr. Bennet’s passion for child health is further reflected in his family—his wife, Dr. Jasmin LB, is Additional Professor of Ophthalmology at Government Medical College, Kollam; his son, Dr. Benny J Bennet, is a Family Physician; his daughter-in-law, Dr. Namita, is a postgraduate student in Pharmacology; and his younger son, Binny J Bennet, is a professional cook based in Toronto, Canada.
